Susan Trench publishes article on noncompete agreements with American City Business Journal
Arnstein & Lehr Miami Partner Susan Trench published an article on February 11, titled, "How to improve your odds of enforcing a noncompete agreement." The article discusses how employers want to protect their business from potentially disobedient employees who gain knowledge of the company, then leave and use that information to their own advantage and their former employer's disadvantage. In order to protect themselves, employers believe requiring their employees to sign "noncompete" or "nonsolicitation" covenants will help. Within the article, Susan gives reasons why a noncompete contract might not hold up, and advice to improve the chances of having the covenant enforced. Since the article was posted, it has received 11,100 page views.
