Michael and Saul Ewing highlighted in article about Firm’s New England Real Estate Conference
Sally E. Michael, a partner in the Real Estate Practice, is quoted in this story previewing Saul Ewing's 2nd Annual New England Real Estate Conference in Boston on November 7, 2012. She explains one goal of the conference, called "Real Estate in 2013 -- Recovery, Real or Imagined?", is to sort through the debate about whether busier leasing and sales activity in greater Boston in 2012 signals a real recovery.
Michael's representation of the buyer in a recent $65 million office purchase outside Hartford, Connecticut is noted, and so is Saul Ewing's robust work in real estate from Boston to Washington, D.C., particularly in the second half of the year. However, uncertainty created by the U.S. elections and financial chaos in Europe are mentioned as possible mitigating factors.
"There are clear pockets of strength (including in the Northeast corridor)," Michael told the publication, "but it's a matter of how sustainable it is going forward and how (isolated) the activity might be to the core markets."
