Three partners to speak at PBI's Third Annual Oil and Gas Law Colloquium
George Asimos, Joel R. Burcat and Elizabeth U. Witmer, partners in the Project and Resource Development Department, are on the faculty for this two-day colloquium that will extensively cover the multiple legal issues and processes that have arisen since the discovery of the Marcellus Shale.
The discovery of obtainable gas in the Marcellus Shale, from West Virginia through New York and encompassing numerous Pennsylvania landowners, has unearthed multiple legal issues. These include title defects, leasing and land use issues, surface rights and division of royalties. This two-day seminar will provide attendees with insights and informative discussions on how best to navigate the issues that accompany what has been called the "gold rush."
