Partners to Present Advanced Commercial Leasing Seminar

Howard R. Majev, co-chair of the Real Estate Practice Group, and James E. Goodrich, a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group, will present the second part of a two-part Advanced Commercial Leasing Seminar for the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors.

Topics to be covered include insurance and indemnity, casualty damage, indemnification, condemnation, landlord’s right to relocate tenant, subletting and assignment, mortgagee/ground lessor provisions, estoppel certificates, rules and regulations, environmental provisions, surrender and holdover, events of default and remedies, brokers, security deposits, and renewal options/expansion option/termination rights.

Part 1 of the seminar, held on February 8, focused on the negotiation process and letters of intent, defining the parties, identifying the premises and other areas, determining the term, rent and other charges, construction of tenant improvements, repair and maintenance of the premises, and alterations.
