2014 Northeast Environment, Energy and the Law Symposium
The Environment and Natural Resources Practice will again host its Northeast Environment, Energy and The Law Symposium in Houston, TX. The firm is hosting the event with co-presenter, KCI Technologies, and supporting sponsors, GeoServices, Ltd., GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. and Roux Associates, Inc.
With distinguished professionals from the government, regulatory and private company sectors, the symposium will provide in-house counsel and business executives with perspective on, and practical strategies for, evaluating energy development opportunities at a time when the North American energy industry has its greatest potential to reshape the world economy.
EPA Region 6 Administrator Ron Curry will join Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Secretary E. Christopher Abruzzo, Maryland Department of Environment and Conservation Commissioner Robert Summers, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Assistant Commissioner Jane Kozinski and other key state and federal regulators to share insights on developments in the growing Northeastern energy industry and its impacts on water, air and waste disposal. In addition, Saul Ewing lawyers, industry executives and technical experts will weigh in on regulatory issues, litigation trends, economic developments and environmental topics that are impacting energy development in the region.
The program has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 5.75 credit hours, of which 1 credit hour will apply to legal ethics/professional responsibility credit. The Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board has approved the program for 4.75 hours of substantive law, practice and procedure CLE credit and 1 hour of ethics, professionalism or substance abuse CLE credit.
