​Alexander Callo handles complex matters related to pharmaceutical patents, with a specific focus on litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act. His experience includes drafting motions and pleadings, research and analyzing discovery. He has also assisted clients with regulatory matters involving the Food and Drug Administration.

Alexander has a background in both intellectual property law and the life sciences. During his undergraduate studies in biology and biochemistry at Virginia Tech, he completed an externship in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. As an extern, he assessed patent applications and drafted Office Actions on semiconductor patent applications. Additionally, he was an undergraduate researcher in the area of targeted nano-drug  delivery. He was also an assistant life sciences technology transfer associate; this role involved identifying, researching and communicating with prospective companies willing to in-license biotechnological devices and methods developed at Virginia Tech, as well as conducting prior art searches in the biomedical field.
